For 70 years, the Russell Hobbs brand has been making everyday life easier for millions of people around the world. It’s why we can enjoy a kettle that switches off automatically or a coffee machine that keeps the coffee hot. Decades of innovation deserve a big toast. That’s why we organised a celebration in true British style.
Russell Hobbs is number one in the small domestic appliances category in the UK. It has also been a fixture in Polish households for several years. To celebrate its 70th birthday, we organised an event for journalists and influencers in true royal style. The theme was Britishness and the brand philosophy #WeGetLife.
We held the birthday party in a 20th century mansion on the grounds of King John III’s Wilanów residence. Within the historic walls, we looked back at the brand’s impressive past. Representatives told us about pioneering moments, including the world’s first espresso machine with a keep-warm function and the first automatic electric kettle.
Guests then heard how the British icon is set to revolutionise our lives in the future. The spotlight was on the latest Distinctions breakfast collection: a kettle that saves up to 64% energy, a toaster that gives you full control over your toast and a coffee machine that brews coffee like a professional barista.
Life may not be perfect, but Russell Hobbs is always there to help. This is the brand’s philosophy, which we expressed with a Kintsugi workshop – the Japanese art of repairing broken porcelain with gold. Guests’ crockery was restored to its former glory, a beautiful symbol of overcoming adversity.
The workshop was led by Anna Drozd and Beata Łańcuchowska, known as the Pani to potrafi duo. They do interior design on a daily basis, run a blog, organise creative workshops, record TV programmes and write books. We previously hired them for the Russell Hobbs birthday competition.
The kitchen is the true heart of the home – it is where every day begins and where every successful party, such as a birthday party, takes place. This inspired us to organise a competition for people to prove that it is the same in their homes. The winner won a kitchen makeover worth PLN 10,000, carried out by the duo Pani to potrafi.
It was a great pleasure for us to cooperate with a brand that has been revolutionising the lives of millions of people all over the world for 7 decades. We wish the Russell Hobbs representatives another 70 years of success. Thank you for your trust and we look forward to our next projects together.
